In the Henley & Partners Passport Index for the third quarter of 2023, the Armenian passport moved from 79th to 75th place due to changes in the positions of other countries.
During the reporting period, the republic did not conclude agreements on visa-free travel. Armenian passport holders can travel without a visa or with a visa on arrival to 66 countries around the world.
Armenia shares its place with Cape Verde and the Philippines.
The index of the world's strongest passports by number of visa-free (or visa-on-arrival) destinations is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IAA).
The rating is headed by Singapore; 192 countries are open to passport holders of this country. The second place is shared by Germany, Spain and Italy with a result of 190 visa-free destinations, and the third place is taken by Austria, Finland, France, Japan, Luxembourg, South Korea and Sweden (189 countries). Outsiders in the ranking are Afghanistan (104th place, 27 countries), Iraq (103rd place, 29 countries) and Syria (102nd place, 30 countries).
